In October 2013 Christies in London held the auction Vintage Posters, which included the work Cup Final, Wembley-April 21St by Percy Drake Brookshaw. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,181.99) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Drake Brookshaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,729.97).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cup Final, Wembley-April 21St von Percy Drake Brookshaw zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.181,99) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Drake Brookshaw mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.729,97) versteigert wurde.
