Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boat Race by Percy Drake Brookshaw was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,382.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Drake Brookshaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,729.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boat Race von Percy Drake Brookshaw kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.382,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
