This artwork by Percy Drake Brookshaw achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2010. In the Travel and Vintage Posters auction, the work Boat Race, Saturday March 31St sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,539.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Percy Drake Brookshaw; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,729.97).
