Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Travel and Vintage Posters, which included the work Cup Final, Wembley - April 21St by Percy Drake Brookshaw. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,493.75). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Drake Brookshaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,729.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cup Final, Wembley - April 21St von Percy Drake Brookshaw zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.493,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Drake Brookshaw mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saturday March 31St, Putney Bridge, Hammersmith beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.729,97) versteigert wurde.
