Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Peng Wei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Robe sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 45,531.65) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peng Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,242,000.00 (€ 264,636.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peng Wei erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Robe für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 45.531,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.242.000,00 (€ 264.636,26).
