Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 POLY held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Happiness, Longevity and Satisfaction Symbolizing Robe by Peng Wei. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,062,000.00 (€ 120,501.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peng Wei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 2,242,000.00 (€ 264,636.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Happiness, Longevity and Satisfaction Symbolizing Robe von Peng Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.000,00 (€ 120.501,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Peng Wei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 2.242.000,00 (€ 264.636,26) versteigert wurde.
