This artwork by Peng Wei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Snowy Forest sold for HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 209,424.66) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 900,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Peng Wei; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue sold at auction in April 2017 with the realized price of HKD 2,242,000.00 (€ 264,636.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peng Wei erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Snowy Forest für HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 209.424,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 900.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Peng Wei; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue im April 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.242.000,00 (€ 264.636,26).
