A top price for Peng Wei - as previously expected
In April 2017 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue by Peng Wei. The price achieved of HKD 2,242,000.00 (€ 264,636.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 2,800,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue is the most expensive artwork by Peng Wei that we have observed at auctions so far.
