Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grazing No.2(Executed in 2008) by Peng Wei was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October last year. The price achieved of HKD 216,000.00 (€ 27,679.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peng Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,242,000.00 (€ 264,636.26).
