Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled (Cityscape) by Paul Thek. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,664.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Thek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (five works on newspaper) in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Cityscape) von Paul Thek zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.664,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Thek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (five works on newspaper) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
