Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Thek could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Art Contemporain Day Auction auction, this work without title changed hands for EUR 18,900.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Thek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (five works on newspaper) in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Thek konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Auction wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 18.900,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Thek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (five works on newspaper) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
