Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Noble could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the A Visual Odyssey Selections from LAC (Lambert Art Collection) Staged by Jacques Grange auction, the work (i) Quarry A-F (ii) Quarry G-M changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 26,226.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Noble - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nobsend, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 86,163.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Noble konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion A Visual Odyssey Selections from LAC (Lambert Art Collection) Staged by Jacques Grange wechselte die Arbeit (i) Quarry A-F (ii) Quarry G-M für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 26.226,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Noble mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nobsend beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 86.163,95) versteigert wurde.
