Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Accumulus Nobliatus by Paul Noble was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,137.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Noble achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nobsend in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 86,163.95).
