Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,346.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Lecomte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,158.13).

Die Arbeit An encounter on a village road von Paul Lecomte kam im September 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.346,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Lecomte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.000,00 (€ 24.158,13).
