Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Quai de Bercy, Paris by Paul Lecomte was sold in the Dessins Anciens et du XIXème Siècle auction at Christies in Paris in April 2011. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lecomte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,158.13).
