Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Lecomte could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in June 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Barque Au Soleil Couchant, Deux Grands Arbres À Droite changed hands for EUR 3,125.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Lecomte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,158.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Lecomte konnte im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit Barque Au Soleil Couchant, Deux Grands Arbres À Droite für EUR 3.125,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Lecomte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.000,00 (€ 24.158,13).
