Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Lecomte could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in June 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Paysage Au Moulin changed hands for EUR 6,250.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Lecomte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,158.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Lecomte konnte im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit Paysage Au Moulin für EUR 6.250,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Lecomte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 33.000,00 (€ 24.158,13) versteigert wurde.
