Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Lauritz could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work California Farm 30 x 40 in. framed 40 1/2 x 50 in. changed hands for USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,072.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Lauritz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California valley with poppies and lupine in April last year with an auction result of USD 21,675.00 (€ 20,570.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Lauritz konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit California Farm 30 x 40 in. framed 40 1/2 x 50 in. für USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.072,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Lauritz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California valley with poppies and lupine im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.675,00 (€ 20.570,37).
