Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Resting by the shoreline by Paul Jacob Naftel was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in September 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,761.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Jacob Naftel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,203.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Resting by the shoreline von Paul Jacob Naftel wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.761,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Jacob Naftel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.203,11).
