Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Glen Sligachan, Cuchullin Hill, Isle of Skye by Paul Jacob Naftel was sold in the British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in London in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,590.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Jacob Naftel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,203.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Glen Sligachan, Cuchullin Hill, Isle of Skye von Paul Jacob Naftel wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.590,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Jacob Naftel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.203,11) versteigert wurde.
