In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby, which included the work Lumbermen by Paul Jacob Naftel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 750.00 (€ 848.62), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Jacob Naftel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,203.11).

Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lumbermen von Paul Jacob Naftel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 848,62) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Jacob Naftel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.203,11).
