Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work A summer's day at Goring-on-Thames by Paul Jacob Naftel. It changed hands for a price of GBP 660.00 (€ 968.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Jacob Naftel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,203.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A summer's day at Goring-on-Thames von Paul Jacob Naftel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 968,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Jacob Naftel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The landing place at Havre Gosselin, Sark im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.203,11).
