Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Kate Anne Berry (The Artist'S Mother) by Paul Henry. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,133.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Henry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains and Lake, Connemara in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 730,010.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kate Anne Berry (The Artist'S Mother) von Paul Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.133,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Henry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains and Lake, Connemara im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 622.500,00 (€ 730.010,33).
