Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Incoming Tide by Paul Henry was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 116,916.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountains and Lake, Connemara in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 730,010.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Incoming Tide von Paul Henry kam im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 116.916,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Henry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountains and Lake, Connemara im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 622.500,00 (€ 730.010,33).
