It achieved a price of USD 4,864.00 (€ 4,602.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cadmus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lloyd and Barbara Wescott in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,430,000.00 (€ 2,152,919.29).

Die Arbeit Shore Leave von Paul Cadmus wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.864,00 (€ 4.602,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cadmus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lloyd and Barbara Wescott im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.430.000,00 (€ 2.152.919,29).
