Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Stewart's by Paul Cadmus was sold in the Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century auction at Christies in Sydney in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,142.00 (€ 1,976.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cadmus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lloyd and Barbara Wescott in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,430,000.00 (€ 2,152,919.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Stewart's von Paul Cadmus wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Tales of the City: New York Prints and Photographs of the Early 20th Century bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.142,00 (€ 1.976,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cadmus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lloyd and Barbara Wescott im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.430.000,00 (€ 2.152.919,29).
