Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Janet Jackson, Miami by Patrick Demarchelier was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,824.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Demarchelier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christy Turlington, New York, 1990 in November this year with an auction result of EUR 138,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Janet Jackson, Miami von Patrick Demarchelier wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.824,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Demarchelier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christy Turlington, New York, 1990 im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 138.600,00.
