The work Australian Canopy by Patricia Piccinini was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. It achieved a price of AUD 56,400.00 (€ 33,158.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. With this result, Australian Canopy is even the most expensive work of art by Patricia Piccinini that we have observed at auctions so far.
