Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Desert Riders - Mountains From Autosphere Series by Patricia Piccinini. The price achieved of AUD 7,170.00 (€ 4,189.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patricia Piccinini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Canopy in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 56,400.00 (€ 33,158.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Desert Riders - Mountains From Autosphere Series von Patricia Piccinini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 7.170,00 (€ 4.189,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patricia Piccinini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Canopy im August 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 56.400,00 (€ 33.158,67).
