Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2004 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Kick Flip Ollie From S02 (Series 2) by Patricia Piccinini. The price achieved of AUD 5,975.00 (€ 3,467.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Patricia Piccinini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Canopy in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 56,400.00 (€ 33,158.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2004 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kick Flip Ollie From S02 (Series 2) von Patricia Piccinini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 5.975,00 (€ 3.467,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patricia Piccinini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Canopy im August 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 56.400,00 (€ 33.158,67).
