Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Night Fog by Pam Evelyn. The price achieved of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 51,040.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pam Evelyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Worked on Earth, which sold at auction in October this year for GBP 113,400.00 (€ 130,214.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Night Fog von Pam Evelyn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 51.040,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pam Evelyn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Worked on Earth beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für GBP 113.400,00 (€ 130.214,70) versteigert wurde.
