Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Evening Rain by Pam Evelyn was worth GBP 81,900.00 (€ 92,457.12) to a buyer in December last year. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pam Evelyn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Worked on Earth sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of GBP 113,400.00 (€ 130,214.70).

Die Arbeit Evening Rain von Pam Evelyn war einem Käufer im Dezember letzten Jahres GBP 81.900,00 (€ 92.457,12) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pam Evelyn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Worked on Earth im Oktober diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 113.400,00 (€ 130.214,70).
