This artwork by Pam Evelyn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September this year. In the New Now auction, the work Anchor sold for USD 27,940.00 (€ 26,398.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pam Evelyn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Worked on Earth in October this year with an auction result of GBP 113,400.00 (€ 130,214.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pam Evelyn erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Anchor für USD 27.940,00 (€ 26.398,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pam Evelyn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Worked on Earth im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 113.400,00 (€ 130.214,70).
