Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pablo Picasso achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Editions auction, the work Face with Black Nose sold for USD 43,000.00 (€ 27,634.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pablo Picasso erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Editions wurde die Arbeit Face with Black Nose für USD 43.000,00 (€ 27.634,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pablo Picasso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 179.365.000,00 (€ 163.148.080,77).
