A top price for Pablo Picasso
The work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') by Pablo Picasso was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 160,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77). With this result, Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') is even the most expensive work of art by Pablo Picasso that we have observed at auctions so far.
