Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in Paris held the auction Oeuvres Modernes sur papier / Art Impressionniste et Moderne, which included the work Scène de tauromachie (recto); Souvenir d'un déjeuner chez Marianne (verso) by Pablo Gargallo. The price achieved of EUR 2,520.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Gargallo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Masque D'Arlequin Souriant Iii, 1927 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 490,896.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Oeuvres Modernes sur papier / Art Impressionniste et Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scène de tauromachie (recto); Souvenir d'un déjeuner chez Marianne (verso) von Pablo Gargallo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.520,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pablo Gargallo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Masque D'Arlequin Souriant Iii, 1927 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 490.896,00.
