Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Sheetrock by Oscar Tuazon for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,606.70). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Oscar Tuazon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 58,188.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sheetrock von Oscar Tuazon für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.606,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oscar Tuazon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 58.188,25).
