Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study "Winter Sun" Mill Creek, Elizabeth, New Jersey by Oscar Bluemner was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 31,562.50 (€ 27,963.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Bluemner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 5,346,500.00 (€ 3,974,206.50).
