Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in New York held the auction WeeklyHome | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work The Swamp Toward Orchard St. Bloomfield, N.J. by Oscar Bluemner. The price achieved of USD 640.00 (€ 605.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Bluemner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 5,346,500.00 (€ 3,974,206.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion WeeklyHome | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Swamp Toward Orchard St. Bloomfield, N.J. von Oscar Bluemner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 640,00 (€ 605,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Bluemner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.346.500,00 (€ 3.974.206,50).
