Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work East Side of Plane Looking South, Bloomfield, New Jersey by Oscar Bluemner for USD 896.00 (€ 841.00). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Bonhams in Paris and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Bluemner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 5,346,500.00 (€ 3,974,206.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit East Side of Plane Looking South, Bloomfield, New Jersey von Oscar Bluemner für USD 896,00 (€ 841,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Bluemner erzielen.
