Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oscar Bluemner could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work Canal with Three Bridges changed hands for USD 384.00 (€ 354.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Bluemner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 5,346,500.00 (€ 3,974,206.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Oscar Bluemner konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Canal with Three Bridges für USD 384,00 (€ 354,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Bluemner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.346.500,00 (€ 3.974.206,50).
