Auction result well in line with expectations
The work three etchings printed with tone comprising Tabby Cat, The Kill and Rupert Rides, on laid papers, each signed, dated and titled in pencil, with margins, light-staining, otherwise apparently in good condition, unexamined out of the frames by Orovida Camille Pissarro was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 437.50 (€ 612.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Orovida Camille Pissarro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dinka With A Bongo in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit three etchings printed with tone comprising Tabby Cat, The Kill and Rupert Rides, on laid papers, each signed, dated and titled in pencil, with margins, light-staining, otherwise apparently in good condition, unexamined out of the frames von Orovida Camille Pissarro kam im November 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 437,50 (€ 612,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Orovida Camille Pissarro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dinka With A Bongo im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08).
