Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Cats by Orovida Camille Pissarro. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,273.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Orovida Camille Pissarro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dinka With A Bongo, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cats von Orovida Camille Pissarro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.273,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Orovida Camille Pissarro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dinka With A Bongo beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08) versteigert wurde.
