In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Time After Time: Untitled 1 & Untitled 7 (Two Works) by Ori Gersht. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,870.45), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ori Gersht achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled 5 from Blow Up in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 92,711.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Time After Time: Untitled 1 & Untitled 7 (Two Works) von Ori Gersht zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.870,45) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ori Gersht erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled 5 from Blow Up im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 92.711,22).
