Auction result well in line with expectations
The work NOV.25, 1989 by On Kawara was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 3,276,000.00 (€ 345,547.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 2,600,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by On Kawara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Decade) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,175,000.00 (€ 3,715,735.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit NOV.25, 1989 von On Kawara wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 3.276.000,00 (€ 345.547,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.600.000,00 – 3.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von On Kawara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Decade) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.175.000,00 (€ 3.715.735,14).
