Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Ma Belle by Oluwole Omofemi was worth GBP 21,420.00 (€ 25,579.28) to a buyer in July last year. This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Oluwole Omofemi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Invader in March last year with an auction result of USD 189,000.00 (€ 170,377.72).

Die Arbeit Ma Belle von Oluwole Omofemi war einem Käufer im Juli letzten Jahres GBP 21.420,00 (€ 25.579,28) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oluwole Omofemi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Invader im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 170.377,72).
