Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work Young Girl, 2022 by Oluwole Omofemi. It changed hands for a price of EUR 35,424.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oluwole Omofemi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Invader in March last year with an auction result of USD 189,000.00 (€ 170,377.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young Girl, 2022 von Oluwole Omofemi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 35.424,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oluwole Omofemi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Invader im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 170.377,72).
