Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Listening by Oluwole Omofemi was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,068.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Oluwole Omofemi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Invader in March last year with an auction result of USD 189,000.00 (€ 170,377.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Listening von Oluwole Omofemi kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.068,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oluwole Omofemi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Invader im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 170.377,72).
