Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Fish and Chip Shop by Norman Cornish was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,733.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Cornish - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Newcastle Bar, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,962.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Fish and Chip Shop von Norman Cornish kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.733,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Cornish mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Newcastle Bar beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.962,36) versteigert wurde.
