Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Four Sporting Boys: Baseball by Norman Rockwell was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Rockwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saying Grace in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 46,085,000.00 (€ 33,445,823.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Four Sporting Boys: Baseball von Norman Rockwell kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 164.383,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Rockwell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saying Grace im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.085.000,00 (€ 33.445.823,35).
